The service was excellent, with very attentive staff. During the meal I had dropped my chopsticks, and before my head turned up to look for a person to ask for replacement, one was already headed towards me! To my surprise there are shark fin soup available. The shark fin what's good quality while the soup itself was not as tasty as you would get it in Hong Kong. What I've learned though, is the flavoring and taste buds are just a bit different to here in Malaysia considering the mix and match of different cultures, so it does make sense. Prices seem to be fair, and we were looking for a place with air conditioning (e.g., we were not in the mood for eating outside in the heat in local stalls). The stuff we ordered were quite elegant. Therefore the price was higher than a typical lunch. I do wish in the US, that this level of service exists. The attentiveness is exactly what I'd expect from restaurants back a decade ago and Hong Kong. I believe this place is actually quite large with an upstairs. However, we sat downstairs and we were lucky to be able to get seated right away without a reservation.
Still one of the best Chinese/Cantonese cuisine in town, though it is on the pricey side. Ambience was good and service OK. Ordered steam fish dish, but fish was barely done, and fish meat is still on the bone. However, their other vegetable dishes, tofu dishes were great. Will continue to visit this place when I am in the area
Oh baby. This was my last meal in Singapore before flying home. It was an excellent finale to a very delicious visit. The crab took a long time, but it was worth the wait. It was so meaty, and coated with the a spicy, flavorful white pepper sauce. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area.
The dishes are quite good and have a plenty of choices. Sea food and Cantonese food are delicious. Also have private rooms for group meeting-up. Some specialties should be pre-ordered that you can have a bite of them if you can't go there earlier.
This is still consistently one of the best Chinese restaurants in town. It's look is old fashioned and not quite up to date. But it's all about the food here. The char siu barbecue pork is a must-have. But you know I've never had a dish is didn't like here.
